SpinCode 01-24-2007, 05:43 PM Hi pavmoxo, I'm currently using MySearchParser for all of my PHP / MySQL based search engines. It's a search engine for database, so what I do is add the keywords of my pages into MySQL and search it from there, with a reference URL to point to. http://www.addedworth.com/php/urtfer.php?t=MySearchParser Was trying many other types of search engines before, but the features provided by MySearchParser was something that I've been looking for a very long time, particularly the ability to perform AND, OR, NOT and phrase searches , the same way Altavista and Google does it. Let me know if you find anything better. Regards, Spin aedrin 01-24-2007, 06:50 PM The problem with that one is that it costs $75, and the request was for one that searches HTML, PDF, etc. Not a database. You might be able to find a free alternative by doing some searching. Perhaps try to find a free spidering program that feeds into a database. Then all you would have to do is to build a front end for that database. |
