PHP website search engine

Do you know a good PHP website search engine for my page for indexing html, php to html and pdf's?? Free of preference!!!

I'm currently using MySearchParser for all of my PHP / MySQL based search engines. It's a search engine for database, so what I do is add the keywords of my pages into MySQL and search it from there, with a reference URL to point to.

Was trying many other types of search engines before, but the features provided by MySearchParser was something that I've been looking for a very long time, particularly the ability to perform AND, OR, NOT and phrase searches , the same way Altavista and Google does it.

The problem with that one is that it costs $75, and the request was for one that searches HTML, PDF, etc. Not a database.

You might be able to find a free alternative by doing some searching. Perhaps try to find a free spidering program that feeds into a database. Then all you would have to do is to build a front end for that database.
