CGI Chat Help

Hello there, I've been searching everywhere for a Script similar to this chat:

www.alamak.com

I don't want to rip off every idea of theirs, but I do like the setup and the way they use private messages...

If someone could take a quick look at the site, and let me know if there's any scripts out there that would be similar to this where I could edit and customize. I'm just a beginner with CGI/Perl but this chat doesn't look like it's too detailed to me, but maybe I'm wrong there.

If someone could help me out here, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, opinions on possibly better ideas than Alamak are welcome too. I'm open to suggestions. :) Thanks!

Alright if nobody knows an answer to the above then I have a question or two that could hopefully be answered....

I've looked up a lot of info and CGI Tutorials but the best I can find are forms and guestbooks, so I've came here for help on this too.

How would you set it up so that when a person types their message then clicks send that it will refresh the page with their message at the bottom of the rest?

I'm just new to CGI so it's been a little confusing at points for me.

If there is anyone out there that would be willing to help me out on MSN then that would be very much appreciated. :)
