Not sure that this is really an HTML question, but just curious which package you prefer when it comes to textarea rich editing?

bump...

Nobody is using rich editing in forms? I'm using it to generate html emails to users in a database. Currently I'm using wysiwyg.js, I have tried a couple others including dojo and did not care for them much. Just curious if anyone else if tinkering with this stuff and if so, which package are you using (or did you roll your own)?

Maybe I should post this in the javascript forum, sort of a crossover question.

Don't post in the JS forum as that would be cross posting and against the rules. In the future though you should probably try finding the right forum for your question since you knew that it wasn't really an html question so its kind of your fault that you haven't gotten any replies. Personally if I had to use one I would probably use something like TinyMCE (http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/) which is a CMS.

I use TinyMCE and I'm very happy with it. Used to use FCKEditor, but it seemed more difficult to make it product vaid HTML, and TinyMCE is much easier to write plugins for, which I do quite a lot.

GJ and Aerospace,

Thanks for the tip, it looks a lot more mature than what I'm using currently. I'm definitely going to check it out.

Aerospace - settle down with the forum policing. I've been registered here longer than you and know the rules. It could have been a question for either forum... relax dude.

Obviously you dont...if you knew the rules you would have known that Rule 1.2 says not to cross post which you would have done if you posted your same question in the JS forum.
