I was trying to install a CGI script today. I followed the instructions that were contained in the download and I chmodded the files as instructed (all 755)

When I was told to visit the link below it generated a download box.
http://eastlondonpromotions.co.uk/cgi-bin/backstage.cgi

Is this download thing caused by the chmodding?

The requested URL /cgi-bin/backstage.cgi was not found on this server.
What script are you trying to install? What are the instructions that you followed?
