Opening Document in Front Page

Is it possible to even stop your document being opened in front page as read only file from someone who does not have authoring rights?

maybe samraza is talking about Web authoring called WebDAV (http://www.webdav.org/other/faq.html).
I think you can't stop users with no write access control to open html pages in any editor. He can't modify it anyway.

Yeah, you either have access to the server or you don't. Unless someone has direct access to the server your page is hosted on, they can't change what's there.
