Extract variable from URL

Is there a way to retrieve variabl data from the address bar and pass it to a page and also an iframe within that page?

I have managed to send data from one page to another with the _GET statment.

Any help or a point in the right direction?

its the same as passing information. use $_GET.

say u have mysite.com/view?id=10

$_GET['id']; would return "10"
