Can someone please help me out as I have a problem with Dreamweaver 8.

Whilst installing it on my new system, for some reason Windows decided to close down & reboot. After it rebooted the installation was supposed to carry on where it left off.

I though everything was OK as it launched normally.
Unfortunately I found out when I was using it, trying to enter the preferences and close dreamweaver in fact when trying to use any of the menus it just shows javascript error messages.

I now wish to delete it and re-install. As there is no uninstall on the software can anyone please tell me the best way to uninstall it so that a re-install will be clean?

A friend had a problem with Dreamweaver and he used Windows Add/Remove programs but this did more harm than good.

All help much appreciated.
Happy New Year to All

Just rerun the installation executable. It will allow you to repair an installation.

If you visit Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel, and then find it in the list, you will be able to remove it from there.

After this, you may want to also check if the folder is still there in the 'Program Files' directory.

Thanks Jimmy but a friend of mine tried uninstalling Dreamweaver using Add/Remove programs but had endless problems after.

If you don't mind losing all of your configuration files then you can simple delete the folder found at:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Macromedia\

Deleting that Configuration file and then starting DW will force it to create a new configuration folder usually fixing any errors with menus and what not.
