Here's the easy one.
Is there a way for PHP to find out the height of a block of CSS? Ultimately I want to make it so two columns of text are equal in height yet do not have a fixed height. If there's another way of doing this, that would help too :D.

Now for the harder one.
I'm trying to make a content management system which will allow users to click on a button in the navigation and then display different text (by means of include(); ) in a CSS cell.

PHP is not capable of either of these tasks, because it is not a client side language. You could accomplish these tasks using something like Javascript.

Hmmm, isn't there a very round about way to do the latter with PHP? For example:
Get some type of postscript or even part of the URL
run a few evaluating/conditionals then run statements according to the post or URL.

It would be possible for PHP to change the CSS style, as like you said you could make it evaluate the input and then change the css file accordingly.

Linark: PHP may be able to generate the appropriate CSS/Javascript, but it is not capable of directly interacting with the page on the client side.

194673: Do you mean, when you click or hover over a navigation link, it displays a description somewhere else on the page?

Yea, click a navigation link then reload the content inside an area of the page.

Also, you mentioned Javascript could fix the column heights to the an equal dynamic height; could you explain how you would do that?
