Changing Displays

Hi Guys and Gals

Don't know if I can do this but here goes!

I have a Dell Dimension 3000 - 1 gig RAM - old PCI cards, onboard video, SoundBlaster Audigy, lots
of USB External Devices, using about 10 ports and a view Sonic 22" Widescreen Monitor set at 1680 x 1050 for videos and such.

I am writing web pages and try to write them in such a way that they change for various monitors and resolutions using Java Scripts so that the page will read without scrolling.

What I would like to do is emulate any smaller monitor and resolutions on my 22" to see how the page looks on that monitor.

Does anyone know of software that would allow this?

Or a better way to setup my pages I'm a novice at webmastering.

Don't use javascript to detect screen resolutions. Design a fluid layout. Vertical scrolling is fine. Horizontal is not. A good example of how to design a fluid layout can be found here
