I have my site there. CGI/perl supported PHP in the not to distant future I think, but more towards asp.

Plus I'm not sure what the uptime percentage or how big the bandwidth pipe is for ya...

Still it is an alternative if you are allowed to be hosted and you have nowhere else.

Portland is a pooor company to host a site with... the prices that they have are a complete and utter rip off. It is no surprise that you are going towards free sites.

If it is free, there are the obvious ones that are mentioned, like brinkster (www.brinkster.com) crosswinds (www.crosswinds.net), and there are thousands of others, and I can guarantee that some people would have hundreds of them listed somewhere.

Preferably, I would pay for my host, seeing as if something went wrong, and I did lose a significant amount of visitors, then there would be someone to put a law suit on.

Places like brinkster and that have it in their tos that they wont be liable if your site suddenly disappears.

Brinkster has been very reliable for me... also, my brother has a site hosted on http://www.lifetimewebsites.com which supports ASP and PHP and it's cheap. Not sure what version of ASP it is though, might be Chilisoft  hope not though!
Oops, I stand corrected, they're using iASP - which at least supports regular expressions (yay)! :D

Can I suggest talking to - Krycek - regarding some hosting opportunities..? He is here at this forum someplace and I've been telling a few of my own personal friends about what he has to offer. Keep in mind, he's trying to stay competative and he is using a Linux based box. Also he has recently purchased another server. Up to you, but can't hurt to inquire :)

I'm just getting my site set up with one of my features being free webhosting...it's brand new, so don't be too critical! :D

I figured 500Mb would be enough for anybody, what do you think? If you set up an account and need a MySQL database, email (quasiman@quasitown.com) me

And yeah, I know not all the links aren't working yet.

If you have any suggestions let me know!

I have all my pages hosted at Arishost.com
dirt cheep at 30USD a year for domain registration and hosting that includes just about everything you want except mySQL... gotta pay 30 more a year for that... uptime is great
Still a good deal
