terms of use and privacy policy

Do i need a privacy policy and terms of use for my site? It is basically just forums and articles that give advice on how to do certain things. Also do I need a disclaimer of some type.

Here (http://www.privacyrights.org/fs/fs28-nonprofits.htm) is a pretty good article that discusses privacy policies and what kinds of information you might want to include in one.

My take on it is this. If you're running an online business, you definitely need a privacy policy. Even if you're not running an online business, it might be a good idea to have some sort of policy for the information you do collect and what you do with it. This gives people a sense of security and confidence in your site when they know the level of care you take with any personal information in your possession.
