Is there such a cable that allows you to connect a SATA Hard Drive to a motherboard which only has IDE connections?

ie.

Motherboard with IDE controller -- Cable -- SATA Hard Drive

You can definitely get PATA to SATA converters (not really a cable more a fiiting that plugs into the IDE drive), for the other way around I think you are going to need a PCI Sata controller card.

.. there is this which goes both ways.. but I don't know any Perth Stockists? (Anyware your best bet though)

Thanks for the reply. The problem I have is that the client doesnt have any spare PCI slots available.
