View Full Version : Personal Portfolio Critique

Hey guys is was wondering if it would be possible to get a personal portfolio crit? For the crit im interested in hearing your opinions on the design of it the functionality ect.

Disclaimer: I started this layout a while back when i was a little more green when it comes to css so the back end isn't as well organized as it could be. This is also the reason it is not completely finished eg. the Iframe in portfolio instead of its own div. ( thats being changed ) and there is a form in the contact that im still trying to figure out.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As far as some of the sites go on Codingforums, it isn't that bad at all

Only things I notice (this is purely design, not looking at the codes tonight. Sorry I will another time), are the links are a little sketchy onmouseover. The first time you try rolling over, the whole page moves up a pixel or two. Not a big deal I just noticed. Also, I see on the Portfolio page that there is a horizontal scrollbar as well as a vertical in IE. You probably know about these but I'm just double checking :D

Has a very nice look to it though.

Edit: checked it out in Firefox and it looks great. =)
Just try playing in IE for a moment. Easy fixes

Yeah the scrollbar problem is going to be changed very soon. I'm getting rid of the iframe as soon as i can. I noticed the moving aswell on mouse over. Also it kinda flickers briefly in IE i have NO clue how to solve this even if it means i have to do the rollovers over again i'd love to hear any input on the matter.
Thanks in advance..T

It's ok, not my particular cup of tea though.

I find it a bit small - in terms of both dimensions, and scope.

The navigation isn't really at the point where it passes from the plain confusing - to the intriguing.

"Form through function" I find that a bit glib - what does that mean? I'm kinda waiting for you to expand on that when I click one of the page links...

I dunno, it's just nice, it doesn't engage me on any level, and doesn't make me want to hang around and delve deeper - there is no deeper.

Sorry :o
