I am using Mozilla what is good for it? WHy mozilla is good for css?

I like to know about it.

What is Mozilla good for?

Umm, surfing the web, checking email, chatting on IRC. It is an application suite with focus on the Internet and developers.

It also does a better job than Internet Explorer on just about everything web design related - much better CSS and DOM support, as well as support for XML applications such as XHTML 1.1, XLink, SVG, RDF, XSLT, etc.

It also functions as a cross platform applications development environment (with XUL, XBL, its web standards support, and its libraries) through XPCOM, which leaves the door open for amazing possibilities.

My primary interest in Mozilla is its usage as a standardized web development platform, so that I write pages and code once, and it runs the same in other compliant browsers, such as Opera 7, or IE5/Mac. IE6/Win is seriously lacking in standards support when compared to the former browsers.

On top of providing this, it also offers a secure way of surfing the Internet. If you use a fully patched Interent Explorer, you are subject to over 30 exploits most of which can compromise your entire computer. Some of the latest exploits will take out your entire Windows installation by intitializing format.com

Jkd how can you import all bookmarks from IE 6 into Mozilla ?

I have nearlly 500 links and I feel lazy to do it one by one

I have tried to import them but I get no link only

It does it automatically when you install Mozilla.

I have reinstalled Mozilla and delete all files, but I get no message no option to import IE bookmarks...

Bookmarks --> Imported IE Favorites

Never failed for me since using it from 0.8X days until now.

have you checked your bookmarks for a folder that's something like "imported from IE"? and what version of moz are you using?

it doesn't work , impossible to import bookmarks from IE
even if I desinstalll it keeps somewhere my configuration

Go to Edit>Preferences,then to Advanced>Cache.Youll see a textbox with the path where your Mozilla config is stored.Your bookmarks are in bookmarks.html and your configuration in prefs.js.Close Mozilla before you delete/edit them.

Courtesy Chris Pike from another forum:

just export your IE favorites (i.e. File | Import/Export), then import them into Moz (i.e. Bookmarks | Manage Bookmarks | Import).
