IE vs FF help

i know its stupid, but i just spent an hour trying to get this right and now it doesnt work in IE. i'm sure its a stupid little tweak, but can someone tell me why this doesnt line up in IE, when it does in FF..

i had to change the coding.

i just took out the bg image b/c it looked like **** in IE.

but if you are comparing the page in IE and FF, the IE does not line up correctly. it is supposed to be centered.
