Correct way to Slice?

Hello, I was just wondering what the "correct" way of slicing is. How would a professional do it? I've never been sure, but I know the slice tool in Photoshop... Is that how its done?

Yes that is usually how it is done though some prefer image ready over photoshop when slicing. I really have no preference. This tutorial seems to cover how to do it.
