View Full Version : How do I add animation to a .psd web template

Does anyone have any knowledge on how to put scrolling text (not a marquee) on top of a web template window I created in photoshop?

I've added rollover buttons and sliced it in image ready. Now I would like to do this:

I have a simulated cinema screen in the template. I want to add vertical scrolling text on top of the window to make it look like you are viewing it in the cinema screen.

I'm not very good in flash. I've attempted to add a javascript to make the scrolling text in golive with no success. In golive I made a layer on top of the cinema screen and added the java object/applet and when I view it on the web nothing appears.

Please Help :(

Yes, this was very helpful, but I have this code that I'm trying to place in my web and the box keeps moving when the browser resizes:

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
<head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /></head>
<body bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><p align="center">

<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000"
width="175" height="150" id="CoffeeCupNewsReader" align="middle">
<param name="movie" value="afrnews.swf"/>
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="scale" value="noscale" />
<param name="salign" value="lt" />
<param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" />
<embed src="afrnews.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="175" height="150"
name="CoffeeCupNewsReader" scale="noscale" salign="lt" align="middle" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /></object>
