GeXus 11-22-2006, 04:19 PM Might just want to use htaccess http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/password/ AJW06 11-22-2006, 04:25 PM I would prefer it to be bulit into my page say in the navigation bar, anyonme reading this that can help with my mail form thread that is most needed the login would be a cool extra that i have been trying to work out for ages mlseim 11-22-2006, 07:23 PM AJ .... All of the "members only" pages and functions, such as upload/download of wedding videos, streaming sample videos on you webpage ... things like that, would be done using PHP and MySQL databases. In fact, your site would be PHP based, in that the pages would be dynamically generated, with photos, galleries, videos, etc. and you could have a CMS content management system and an online scheduling calendar for showing your available days for weddings. But this stuff takes time to program, and lots of PHP experience. If you're just "starting out", a dynamic site using PHP/MySQL might be outside of your comfort zone. You might be better off hiring a professional site developer to handle all of your scripting needs and website design. We are willing to help solve some specific programming problems, but to hand-out full working scripts is somewhat beyond the scope of this forum. wallport10 11-23-2006, 01:35 AM For a beginner like yourself, the best thing to do is to dive head first into the PHP manual (http://www.php.net/manual/en/) That is what I did when I first started all those years ago! Goodluck -Nate GSimpson 11-23-2006, 03:00 AM Yeah i recommend that last post as you probably have no idea what MYSQL is and that is vital you learn that with php. also have a read of javascript to get an idea of how recognise functions, varibles, operators and such. All can be found @ www.w3schools.com/ W00t! PHP. |
