Thanks in advance - www.konflikty.pl - history portal. You probably don't know Polish, but please review design :).

yep it would really help if I spoke Polish - I guess not enough rubbed off on me after all the years of hanging out in Greenpoint...

for a site where you want to offer alot of information I think you've done a fine job of displaying your content

colors don't clash (I can never get greens to balance) and the pale gray background really brings the content into focus

one thing I did notice is there is a white box above the footer...at first I thought maybe it was for google ads or something but nothing ever loaded into it

and while I think the site looks great...there are 198 validation errors (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.konflikty.pl%2F) and there are a few css errors (http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.konflikty.pl%2Fstyle.css&usermedium=all) as well

other than that - I think it looks really really good in firefox at 1280x1024 resolution...

in ie6 - the bottom is not as level (the right box does not reach as long as the left box) but there is now something displaying in the white box that I mentioned earlier

also regarding that white box - you might consider placing the content into the same kind of div that your footers links are in - that's just an opinion

I hope I've helped :)

That seems to be a flash banner (http://www.konflikty.pl/prezentacja.swf - "prezentacja" sounds like "presentation" to me)
... which isn't working obviously. :)

Yeah, the design is alright. It looks clean and well ordered. However, there is a popup that my Firefox is blocking and for me personally that kinda turns me off... I mean, websites that pop up popups without my agreement somehow appear not really trustworthy to me. Think of something else than using a popup...

Oh yeah and those numerous errors in the code are really serious. Seems like it increased up to 199 since harlequin's post. Oh god, they are growing! :)
Well, anyway... this is something for you to work on. Good work, though.

Thanks for reviews :).
That white box is of course flash banner, which doesn't work at this time ;). I know that popup can make you a little bit upset, but my server is sponsored... :(. This number of errors in code is really strange, because site looks almost the same in each browser so I have no idea how to fix them :(.

Clean look and reading would be an ease. The sub columns are nicely laid. You have the option to use a dark 1 pixel border if you want. The background can be darker if you want.

very nice, clean and attractive

the very first validation error is that no doctype is defined...

You currently have...

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-2"?>
<!doctype html public "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

remove the <?xml...?> and try...

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" lang="en" xml:lang="en">

I can't swear to it but I think the doctype correction will fix many of those errors :)

I tried it, but the number of errors didn't change ;(. I think it's because of our sponsor, who stick to home page some JavaScript code.

have a dark background behind the tables
that would look good
