Not mysql but the closest section of the forum I could find to ask this.
A stupid question indeed perhaps, but can you actually build databases after you download SQL Server Express or do you need another piece of software to do that? All I can see in the Start Menu is SQL Server Configuration Manager and I see no mention of databases there, and SQL Server Surface Area Configuration and no mention of databases there.
So do I need some separate software to actually build a SQL Server database?
