And as for the external scripts, sorry about that. I thought the problem was in the scripts that I wrote, but the conflict was in some autogenerated scripts created by my HTML editor. I figured out the function the conflicting part of my editor's script was doing and, since it was an extremely simple command, simply coded the function right into the regular page and removed the external script. Now it works fine. Thanks again!
