    Hi,

Can anyone tell me the difference between Linux and Window Server? Which one is best for website hosting?

I use a Linux server, but from what I've seen, Linux servers usually don't support .Net stuff. So if you're wanting to create your solution using ASP.Net or something, you'd probably have to go with a Windows server.

Big companies use windows servers and .NET (and pay Microsoft a ton of money for all the necessary software).

Everyone else uses Linux servers and mostly 'free' software.

Over 90% of the web runs on various Linux versions.
