    htaccess

    Hi,
I would like to change my link. (remove the file location).
I know how to remove the .php and the .html, but i don't know how to remove the rest.
My link is currently like this havo/j.beljaars/php/contact.php.
It's a school project and my teacher said i had to put everything in a map so i did.
But the link is very long now.
is it possible to change this: mysite.com/havo/j.beljaars/php/contact.php to this mysite.com/havo/j.beljaars/contact?
    Regards,
    Jack

301 re-direct is what you are looking for, it tells the client that the requested page "mysite.com/havo/j.beljaars/php/contact.php" has moved to "mysite.com/havo/j.beljaars/contact" and should send the new page instead if the client agrees.

You will have to find out how to do this for your server as it depends on which version you are using.
