    .htacces file modification

    Not too comfortable with htaccess files, and so I used a standard rewrite to allow users to be redirected to a sub domain. That works fine now, but somehting is causing my local files to return a 500 error when I browser with my local wamp server. I remember deleting a line of code, but made the carnal mistake of closing my editor, so therefore I can do a goback to replace that line of code.

    here is my .htaccess file:

    Code:
    # -FrontPage-

    <Limit GET POST>
    order deny,allow
    deny from all
    allow from all
    </Limit>
    <Limit PUT DELETE>
    order deny,allow
    deny from all
    </Limit>
    AuthName www.pdqphoto.com
    AuthUserFile /var/www/html/_vti_pvt/service.pwd
    AuthGroupFile /var/www/html/_vti_pvt/service.grp

    #
     RewriteEngine On
     RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} pdqphoto.com
     RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !pdqphoto/
     RewriteRule ^(.*)$ pdqphoto/$1 [L]
     #
    There was another single line right below the line #frontpage, that said something about index.html. I'd appreciate any help to figure out whats wrong.

    Solved

    Solved. I had to edit my apache httpd.conf file to uncomment out the command line to allow mod_rewrite rule
