folder structuring in a LAMP setting for best performance
I have a question on where to put common image elements (in terms of folder structuring) for best overall system performance.
Let's say you had a page like this:
For the racquets page: should it have its own image folder, or should it use the tennis image folder, or should all images go into the root directory image folder?
I think less folders would be easier to maintain. But maybe having the folder "nearby" in the directory helps the page load faster because the computer does not have to search all the way back to the root folder to find the images.
Any thoughts on this?
