If I briefly explain what I am trying to do, hopefully someone may be able to offer some help...

I have a main domain (maindomain.com) with statis IP and SSL, upon which I want to run Wordpress Multisite. I can then have secure admin on domain root, and host blogs in sub folders.

I have a subfolder called maindomain.com/business1 and have setup a domain redirect so www.business1.com points to maindomain.com/business1, and this works fine!

Ive chosen to host this way using WP multisite and sub folders so I only need to purchase 1 SSL and have 1 static IP for my root domain. This would then allow me to have multiple blogs in sub folders, but as WP is installed at the root, admin could be done via https.

What I want is to be able to show www.business1.com as the URL, and not www.maindomain.com/business1. It may confuse people if they type in www.business1.com and then see www.maindomain.com/business1.

This way I can use different domains to point to different blogs but keep the visible URL simple and not confuse visitors.

Is what I am trying to do possible???

Any advice would be appreciated..!

Thanks
