First time poster. I could really use some help. I'm running wordpressmu and need some htaccess help. I've asked on their forums, but havent gotten much help, and it appears all the htaccess gurus hang out here

I have wpmu running fine - no issues whatsever. But, I have uploaded a different software package to the root folder, and I want to disable the mod_rewrite it is currently doing for this particular folder.

Example: I uploaded phpmyadmin to root folder of server. Because of existing rules (which I don't want to change) for wordpressmu, I can access this folder from any subdomain (i.e. http://mysubdomain.domain.com/phpmyadmin). I just want to be able to access this folder from the main domain only - so just http://domain.com/phpmyadmin - and not allow it to be reached by any subdomains.

Any ideas? Here is my current rules that are all default wordpressmu defaults that I would prefer not to modify, but to add a new rule.

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /

AddType application/x-httpd-php5 .php

#uploaded files
RewriteRule ^(.*/)?files/$ index.php [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !.*wp-content/plugins.*
RewriteRule ^(.*/)?files/(.*) wp-content/blogs.php?file=$2 [L]

# add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^.*/wp-admin$
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ $1/ [R=301,L]

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule . - [L]
RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-.*) $2 [L]
RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ $2 [L]
RewriteRule . index.php [L]
