    Simple ajax question

    Ok so I fixed one problem I was having with ajax. I got IE to actually show the text on a page by putting the <html> tags around the items.

    I was trying to make the interface better but I can not get it to show a table. Every time I try to get the second page to show a table IE crashes the ajax command an nothing happens.

    Maby I am over thinking this.

    Start page
    Asks for the item the person would like to see with a fetch button.
    Click the fetch button.
    Ajax calls ITEMS.asp to get the item information.
    ITEMS.asp returns a table with the information.

    For some reason if I do not format the info ITEMS.asp will work fine with IE but if I try to use <table> it crashes. Anyone know what I am doing wrong here?

    Does your table have a proper structure? IE is very sensitive about that
    Code:
    <table>
     <thead>
      <tr><th></th>...</tr>
      ...
     </thead>
     <tbody>
      <tr><td></td>...</tr>
      ...
     </tbody>
    </table>
    with thead being optional, tbody is mandatory!
