Adding a delay to Tooltip Script 1.2

If someone could help me with this, I would be infinitely grateful. I found this script and it is almost exactly what I need:

Can someone help me figure out how to introduce a delay between when a user mouses over a link and when the tooltip box appears?

    Thank you!

The script you have chosen doesn't do that. You'd have to do some ugly hacks to get it to do it. It's much better you try and find one that does what you want it to do from the start.

This for example has lots of configuration options, one of them being 'predelay', which is what you're describing.

Thanks for the link. I need to be able to display an external page within the tooltip window. It's not clear to me whether the code you linked to will be able to do that. Do you know if it will?

It can be used on arbitrary elements, so I see no reason why it shouldn't work on an iframe or in connection with an ajax request.
