    Ajax HTTPRequest Get Problem!

    Has anyone else had the problem of using AJAX HTTPRequest to get the source of a external .html file in a textarea and having it replace the heads opening title tag?

    I mean when I pull the external .html file into a textarea via AJAX, the head of the .html source always looks like this.

    Code:
    <head>
    <meta blah blah>
    Untitled Document</title>
    </head>
    see how it removes only the opening title tag... any work around to make it stop doing this?

    Thanks.

    Never mind folks.

    When gathering the source from the external .html file and putting it into my textarea I also run a scrub process to remove all html tags from the string of html, except for ones that are common in the header of the html file.

    Long story short because I told it to scrub out <i></i> tags, my scrubber thinks these italic tags are also title tags haha.. Strange?? indeed.

    Fortunately you never see italic tags in a header of a html document so no harm done.

    Thanks.
