Lightbulb Full Ajax Login, Rating, and Comment System

    Hi guys,

I would like to add a full login system to my site where the user can register to become a member and then rate items on my site, as well as comment on them. However, I code mainly in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and XML when I need to. I don't want to have to convert all my pages to php to add the ratings, comments, login features, etc.

Is there any solution? I've seen JibberBox and hnGuestbook, as well as a login feature (in php) but they are different enough that I can't tweak them 2 work together, and i havnt even found a rating script. can any1 help

ps: if it matters at all, my site is http://www.excalo.com

You won't have to convert all your pages, just the main page, and the rest you can simply add the php files relatively.
For the loging, for instance, you can have the form in an html, then the form action will redirect the page to a php page which then will perform the login.
In the main page you will need to have it done with php for the sessions to hold.
The comments can be done with AJAX by just passing the value of the star to an AJAX function which then calls a page called (for example): add_vote.php?vote=5 (Excelent).

AJAX is very easy to learn if you know JavaScript. You can just learn the basics and it will keep you going from there.

Well, you shouldn't know too much about php. The only thing you should know is how to use the database and how to compare thingss. I think that's all.
