    Ajax-Social Network

For past 8 months I have worked and created a social network.

What are the disadvantages of building a social network, one that HEAVILY relies on ajax. Would there be a scaling issue? What other issues would one face?

I cant say i can think of many dis-advantages from the client side if its implemented well. As you can make much more easy to use, and more intresting sites with ajax.
Have you also thought about how it will be hosted, i.e will it be hosted on just one server, that will peform all database, and server-side scripting operations etc. Or over a multi-tier architecture?
    Good luck

i think that a comoon problem could be security, as all the code you write is exposed.

one thing that could help you here is where you implemented the logic: client-side or server-side.

i think it would depend on what security you have on the server side.

What is this mythical beast you're talking about?
    PHP / CSS / Perl / XML / XHTML
